Equestrian center in Cádiz
Equus is the high performance equestrian center of Cortijo Los Agustinos, exclusively for guests of the Cortijo. Designed by the Swiss architectural studio Barokas Architectes and built with the latest technological advances in roofing, Equus is the perfect equestrian center in Cádiz for a break on the way to international competitions in southern Spain.
It has two riding arenas, two stables with capacity for 20 horses, its own parking area for trailers and a viewpoint overlooking the mountains.
The covered riding arena has a surface area of 1,300 m2 and is covered with silica sand with a geotextile of approximately 14 cm. Its innovative roof is made of Danpalon reflective material by Pal Plastic, which guarantees the necessary thermal and light restrictions so that rider and horse can exercise at any time of the year.
The open-air riding arena has a surface area of 2,400 m2 and is also equipped with silica sand.
The stables consist of two circular buildings, outdoor corrals and watering trough and 2 upper flats in each building, with kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom.
The equestrian center is completed with a kiosk surrounded by desert gardens from which to contemplate the Sierra de Grazalema.
